You don’t need special art supplies to create a masterpiece.
In my mixed media work, I often use everyday items like spray paint, magazine cutouts, stamps, Q-tips, worn-out brushes, and even old utensils to create art. I love exploring new mediums without the fear of wasting materials, often buying used supplies to fuel my creativity. I splash, stack, glue, cover up, and start over, eventually arriving at a piece that I’m proud of.
Zentangles, another form of art you’ll find here, is an abstract style used to quiet the mind while exploring elements like shape, contrast, line, and color. What begins as simple scraps, marks, and odds and ends often transforms into a beautiful, recognizable piece.
When these fragments come together to form something full of beauty and style, I can’t wait to share it with the world! ~ Brandy Martin
